Position Summary
Housed within the Innovation Division, the role of Advancement Program Manager will focus on the overall cultivation, growth, and success of the Advancement cohort of clients at Technolutions. The ideal candidate will possess:
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
The ability to synthesize complex concepts and explain them to users of all abilities
An innate sense curiosity and imagination
A strategic mindset to aid in the rapid growth of the advancement cohort
This role seeks to unite an individual who has a background or strong interest in higher education fundraising with the innovation of an industry-leading technology company.
Successful candidates for this position will thrive in an environment where no two days are exactly alike and can juggle multiple priorities with mastery and autonomy.
Primary Responsibilities
Contribute ideas to the overall development and enhancement of Slate to better serve the needs and desires of advancement clients
Provide community-based support to our advancement clients
Create and add best-practice examples to the Advancement-Showcase database
Liaise and interpret advancement requests for internal teams, providing context and guidance
Conduct implementation support and fundamental trainings for advancement clients, including creating online courses and facilitating Community Conversations
Build and maintain a high degree of functional Slate expertise
Assist the General Manager of Advancement with new and ongoing strategic priorities, including testing, curriculum development, product demonstration and marketing, and more
Travel when necessary, including industry conferences and the Slate Summit
On-site, in-office work 5 days/week in our New Haven, CT office
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Prior experience using Slate (for admissions, student success, or advancement)
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate simply and effectively to a wide range of audiences.
Ability to quickly master a complex SaaS application
Ability to listen with empathy and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical users
A deep understanding of advancement operations, concepts, and nuances as it pertains to higher education
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment while also operating independently
A sense of humor, creativity, and willingness to fail
Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Experience
Prior Slate for Advancement experience
Experience training users on complex software / CRM applications
Experience in higher education
Some experience with, or a desire to learn, HTML, CSS, or other front-end frameworks
Some experience with, or a desire to learn, Camtasia or other video editing software
